The meeting was called to order by Anise Friedman at 9:32 a.m. Anise began by recapping last season and discussing level coordinator packets which included coordinator duties, email lists, and strength rosters. The discussion continued with information about strength rosters. Anise stated that each position can only move up or down one spot. Players may not move more than one spot without permission from the coordinator or an officer. Our goal as Anise stated is to make sure that play is fair for all. There was then discussion concerning the purpose of the strength roster, which is to match the courts fairly according to the strength of the team. Each team should have at least 1 person in each of the 4 positions. Every team member must be listed on the doubles portion of the roster and only players expected to play singles need to be on the roster in the singles section. As stated above there is to be no “jumping” more than one spot up or down. Sand bagging is prohibited! In special circumstances such as illness, injury, etc. a softcourt representative must be contacted and it will be at her discretion to make sure the captain is putting her strongest line up on the court. Softcourt reserves the right to review and question any play.

There was a discussion concerning 2.5 level having limited subs to pull from and a request was made that 2.5 be able to pull from other teams at there club in lieu of forfeiting a court. Anise requested we add wording to rules stating special permission under substitute rule #5.
Susan Fillipini stated that we are working on slate for next season so let us know about any changes. Susan also made the last changes to schedules and they would be released later that day. There are 139 teams registered to play this season.

Door prizes were handed out by Jeanine Williams: Softcourt Wine coolers.
Jeanine also gave a financial update for the league.

Meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
