The meeting was called to order by Anise Friedman at 9:30 a.m. Anise began by introducing officers, level coordinators and club reps.

Lacy Sparks asked for a motion to approve minutes from the 2006 softcourt meeting as posted on the website. The motion was seconded and approved. Lacy then called roll.

Jeannine Williams gave a treasurers report stating a balance of $10,210.66, not including season winner gifts, and announced the 2006 Fall season winners and prizes (1rst place: pool bag, runner up: ear warmers).

Susan Fillipini announced that 137 teams were signed up for the spring 2007 season and schedules would be finalized and posted on the website this week. She discussed the new spring break schedule for Shelby County and a decision was made to let team captains in Shelby County work out their own makeup matches. Makeup matches will be mandatory.

In new business, Anise Friedman discussed level coordinators and captains’ packets and that strength rosters were due by 12 a.m. before first match. There was a discussion concerning an issue last season stating that a player cannot play lower than their USTA ranking, unless you were ranked as a 3.0 USTA player and had not made better than 50% stats. In which case you were allowed to play 2.5 softcourt league. Anise proposed to amend the bylaws stating that a 3.0 USTA player could play 2.5 softcourt with their pros approval. She made a motion to pass the amendment, the motion carried and all were in favor, passing the bylaw change.

Jeannine Williams handed outdoor prizes: Denise Ingram, Rita Schoenherr, Anne Marie Wilson, and Tracy Christine were the winner. Meeting was adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
